Captivating audiences young and old in over 12 countries, Wildlife Nannies follows the lives of an international group of animal specialists as they care for their adopted young.
Context TV crews have scoured the globe – from Europe to Africa to Australia – for the most compelling and uplifting stories we could find. Each of the 20 half-hour episodes chronicles the lives of two to three young animals and their caretakers, providing the whole family with stories both entertaining and educational. The second season will find us shooting in new locations (shows in Florida and Canada) and documenting the age-old bond between man and animal.

The secret to the success of this series can be found in its continuous balance between entertainment value and educational content. Offering a unique blend of domestic and exotic animals, Wildlife Nannies captures both the heart and the imagination of its viewers. Take for example the story of Tessa, a diminutive capuchin monkey in care of Ashlei Martin of the Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary in Florida. This segment documents Tessa’s development as she is introduced to fellow monkeys for the first time since bonding with her surrogate mother, Ashlei. Tessa, once depressive, has already made great strides towards normalcy. We follow Ashlei as she prepares a special meal for Tessa before driving to the outdoor barn where Tessa will meet her new friend. After a last hug from an emotional Ashlei, Tessa confronts the unknown. How will she react? Will she be accepted by the other monkeys? Could this be the first day of a new life among her own kind?

“Wildlife Nannies” offers high production value using cutting-edge HD camera equipment at various international locations and a completely digital post-production. The second season will be produced for Oasis (Canada). DVD sales will start in the summer of 2008 in the UK. Further international release will follow towards the end of 2008.

The Wildlife Nannies website (www.wildlife-nannies.com), launched at the end of ´07, offers an interactive platform for animal lovers and activists.

The new travel blog features the experiences and reflections of our Wildlife crew and has already proven a great success.
